What'choo Lookin' At?

This is the vibe I was getting from this moose head mount as I walked by it.  Saturday night, my hubby and I decided that we were long overdue for an official date night.  We drove to a nearby town and dined at our favorite Mexican restaurant and afterwards decided to walk it off at Cabela's.  This is the only store that I know of where the women sit on benches patiently waiting on their significant others to finish shopping a couple of hours later.  And it is the only place that I have witnessed men stroll up to the  cash registers with a packed shopping cart and a huge smile on their faces.  "The bill comes to $739.54? So what!  Put it on my VISA!".  It's a sight to behold.

As my hubby was perusing the hunting section, I took a stroll through the store and looked at the several dioramas of animals, both familiar and exotic on display.  This is what you see when you walk into the store.

And then there is the aquarium filled with fish native to our Great Lakes.

It really is a fun destination to take your family. Or for a couple to kill an hour or two before heading home.  They not only have a hunting section and fishing section (which I personally take a liking to), but they also have an amazing camping section and a home decor and clothing area.  There is a toy department and a section for items for your pets.  So there is something for everyone and the staff has always been very helpful.

So if you are an "outdoorsy" type person, have a home on the lake or in the woods, or have small children that loves fish and animals, this is the place for you.

P.S.  Just to let you know, I'm not an employee of this store.  As my hubby says, we were waaaaay overdue for a date night. ;-)

  4. I've never been to Cabela's but just sent my husband there with a gift card for his birthday, although I didn't give him a $749 dollar limit! ;)

You should definitely try your PSE8, it takes a learning curve, and I did take a couple digi classes from Jessica Sprague which helped! It's a lot of fun though, when you can get past the frustration! :D

  5. This is my Hubby's favourite store. Luckily we don't have one near us, we have to drive like 7 hours to get to one.
Mind you they have on-line shopping, lol.
I do like to stroll the store, plus their fudges is delish :)

  6. I'm guessing that you went to La Fiesta in Dundee and then headed over to Cabela's? We must live very close to each other, because it only takes me about 20 minutes to get to Cabela's!
